Q: I already have a personal instructor. Do I still need to practice with peers?
A: Yes. Private instruction is extremely valuable, but instructors typically hit at a higher level and in a more controlled style than what you’ll encounter in school matches. If you train only with an instructor, you may become comfortable with a rhythm that doesn’t reflect real competition.
Practicing with peers exposes you to a wider range of playing styles, shot quality, and match situations—better preparing you for the unpredictability of actual opponents.
